FOOLHARDY CIRCUS ARTS Circus Skills Workshop

Norwich based Foolhardy Circus have been producing work around circus, packed full of fresh ideas and boundless imagination for 25 years.
Join the circus and have a go on unicycles, the Diablo or Devil Sticks and teeter across their revolutionary low standing tightrope. A fantastic chance to play with real circus people!
JANKIE D Windmill Workshop

Getting 'out there' for the third successive year will be Jankie D.
Celebrating ZEPA, our Anglo-French partnership, these Yarmouth based community artists will help little hands create beautiful hand-held windmills from sticks, straws and ribbons. A mini tribute to the Moulin Rouge!

Become an aviator and make and decorate your very own fantastic Philae's Fogg-style hot air balloon. Get ready to take off into the heavens and look down on Great Yarmouth!

Come and make something from recycled materials to add your sound to the 'bikelophone', the festival's unique musical bicycle installation.
JASON PARR Carving Workshop

- Great Yarmouth Library Garden
Professional sculptor Jason Parr hosts one-to-one carving lessons giving you the opportunity to carve a 'bloater' - a Herring fish, and symbol of Great Yarmouth which will be used to adorn a totem pole to be permanently displayed in Great Yarmouth Library's Garden.
Great Yarmouth Community Library is creating a Community Garden in their grounds in direct response to various consultations with the local community. It will promote self-sufficiency and good environmental practice.

A fascinating and energetic workshop with an introduction about the history of Parkour. Then get warmed up with a series of exercises and essential techniques before exploring the Urban Playground yourself in open sessions of 'free play.'
PICKLED IMAGE Storytelling
- Sat: 1-1.30pm & 4.30-5pm
- Sun: 12.30-1pm & 3.30-4pm
- Children of all ages!
A delightful opportunity to introduce your children to the magic of storytelling in this interactive workshop. Granddad is gentle, magical and delightfully old fashioned, helping create imaginative stories about both his past and future with ideas that spring from children's imaginations.
SILENT HOBO Paint by Numbers Spray Art

Massive murals and street art! Join Silent Hobo for a collective piece of paint-by-numbers spray art. Inspired by the heritage of Great Yarmouth, the resultant piece will be displayed on the hoardings outside St. George's Theatre.
HAYLEY BIRD Face Painting

Amazing painted faces from animals to flowers, and plenty of sparkle in the sun! If you've been inspired by Bivouac's blue-painted men then join stylist and make-up artist, Hayley Bird and get painted a rockin' blue with funky tribal patterns and glamorous glitter!
There's plenty more to keep you occupied around the festival park. Take a breather in the craft village and find yourself a unique handmade gift from local crafts people and makers. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy all the fun of the fair...vintage-style on our classic helter skelter.
Then around the park, you'll be able to enjoy our special festival fabrications created by local artists working with various local groups. Inspired by the amazing world of the Victorians, these include:
ALI MACKENZIE Windmills and Sails
A bicycle powered windmill inspired by fictional Victorian machines of flight and time travel, this unique structure draws its energy from the wind and the pedalling public! Ali worked with Inspire Youth Club for the over 25s to create this magnificent feat of engineering.
KATE MUNRO Mobiles
Kate Munro has worked with family groups in Rollesby and Martham to produce this audio mobile of fantastic flying machines.
JOHNNY WHITE Kinetic Sculptures
Johnny White brings to the park a selection of works that blend the world of the romantics with that of Heath Robinson. Johnny has also worked with students of Great Yarmouth College to create the 'Mer-lion' and a mysterious mobile tower.
CHRIS DAY Fireburners
Chris Day worked with local young people aged 16-25 to create sculptural fireburners inspired by the spirit of HG Wells. The flames will stand beacon-like as part of Saturday's firework finalé.
BRIDGET HERIZ Flags & Banners
Local families under the guidance of artist, Bridget Heriz have designed and created celebratory flags and banners as Out There goes all red white and blue!
